THE STORY BEHIND GIVE AIGA GRAPHIC

Company: AIGA Boston, chapter of AIGA Design, the largest and oldest non-profit organization for design | ​​​​​​​Role: Social Media Coordinator | Team: AIGA Boston Board Members

THE NEED
As Social Media Coordinator, I was appointed by AIGA Boston President to update Give the Gift of AIGA membership graphic with a holiday theme like past years to promote AIGA membership for 2019 holiday season.
THE SOLUTION
The 1st round design was too similar to National AIGA colors and too colorful for Christmas holiday. Given the idea by the President of AIGA Boston of a "gift that has a ribbon tying it up" after 1st round design, a ribbon-like graphic was created and a ribbon-style font - Shipped Good 2 - was used. The colors reflect holiday spirit. The words "AIGA Membership" was delete from the final design. 
The final design was seen in the monthly AIGA Boston email newsletter, the AIGA Boston websiteand all AIGA Boston social media. 
In 2020, the graphic was used again on AIGA Boston social media, website and email newsletter to promote Give the Gift of AIGA membership during Giving Tuesday.
